Beautiful antique maple hip rest maple chairs with caned seats. We are in love with the intricately woven hand caned seats and the patina of the dark maple wood and burled maple accent finish! These chairs have no makers mark. The cane on these chairs is in excellent condition. This cane was all woven by hand through drilled holes throughout the seat to produce a very high quality well crafted chair! Exquisite Victorian maple chairs have beautiful hip rest details, cane seats and beautiful carved seat backs with burled maple accents! Set of 8 chairs will look great with any décor! Chairs measures 17-1/2"seat height by 35" seat back height by 19-1/2" seat width at the hip rests. 1 chair is a child's chair, same design and size but with a lower back to be comfortable for a younger person. Great set!
These chairs show signs of wear as to be expected with slight scratches. There are several old and professional repairs to the seat backs. These repairs are probably 100 yrs old themselves.
Absolutely amazing chairs to feature in your home!
