Beautiful antique bentwood chairs with caned seats. We are in love with the intricately woven cane and the patina of the dark chestnut wood finish! The cane on these chairs are I n very good condition with no fraying and only very slight stretching or sagging. There are no maker's marks, but appear to have been planed down on the underside rim during re-caning. There is a sticker on each chair's underside from the business that did the re-caning in Portland,OR. 3 chairs are a lighter colored chaining and one chair's caning is slightly darker. This darker one has a small area of damage but still strong, not broken through.
These chairs show signs of wear and scratches with loss of the dark finish on the bentwood and caned seat which only adds to their beauty. One chair sadly has a hole in the caned seat, but still feels secure when sitting on the chair.
